On September 6, “My Friend the Penguin” premieres in Spain; a film directed by David Shurmann and starring Jean Reno and Adriana Barraza that tells the true story of Joao, a Brazilian fisherman who strikes up a long friendship with a Patagonian penguin.
Efectoscopio has been in charge of producing more than 800 effect shots for the film, including: digital penguins, recreation of environments, set extensions, seas, storms and chromas... the occasional chroma key...
The film was shot during the months of September, October and November 2022 in locations in Brazil and Argentina, where the film's supervisor Ferrán Piquer, together with Fran Porras, also a house supervisor, traveled to.
