Celanova Audiovisual Media Course

20 years of Galician cinema: Industry, culture and identity

27/07/2024

Last June 24th began in Celanova, the XX edition of the Audiovisual Media Course. The training cycle, organized by the Carlos Casares Foundation and funded by the Axencia Galega das Industrias Culturais (Agadic) brought together more than thirty students, many of them coming from the Audiovisual Degree of the University of Vigo, others, simply enthusiasts of the seventh art.
EFECTOSCOPIO was present at one of the sessions, along with the director of “We treat women too well”, Clara Bilbao, and Toni Veiga, producer of the film. During more than 2 hours, Fran Porras, VFX supervisor, talked about the ins and outs of postproduction and the challenge of making a production as particular as this one.
“We Treat Women Too Well” features more than 200 shots with digital intervention, brought to life with a team of more than 40 artists. The setting of the film, located in the Aran Valley during the 1940s, was a real challenge for the production. The great work of the art team, along with the special effects team, was finally finished off with the digital environments and visual effects created in-house.
If you haven't seen them yet, we don't know what you're waiting for!
